TITANIC REMEMBRANCE

Cathy JUTILLA-LAMET

Lulu - 2022

There were 2,208 passengers and crew who boarded Titanic for her maiden voyage in 1912. Each person had a unique life story to that point, and unbeknown to them their stories were about to change forever. For some, their lives would end on that dreadful night. For others, they would survive after a night of unbelievable physical and mental anguish and be forced to carry on for the rest of their lives as best they could. Titanic Remembrance honors those passengers and crew.

The present author has been studying Titanic for the past twenty years. Four years ago, an idea popped into my head: the passengers and crew of Titanic should be honored in a daily blog in some of the Titanic groups on Facebook in order to keep their memory alive. I started writing short biographies in my own words and posted them in the FB groups. The blog was named Titanic Remembrance, and over six hundred passengers and crew members have been honored as of the writing of this book. Whilst writing the daily Remembrance Posts another idea was in the back of my mind, which was to write a book. Through the Remembrance posts and this book, Titanic passengers and crew are remembered.

It is my humble pleasure to announce that the royalties (after taxes) from this book will be donated to various Titanic Societies throughout the world to help provide flowers and additional upkeep for Titanic passenger and crew graves and memorials. In addition, depending on the royalties available, a scholarship fund will be set up for a person with a Titanic passion to attend a Titanic conference or convention that the person might not otherwise be able to attend.

Thank you for considering adding this volume to your personal library. I hope you’ll enjoy your journey with Titanic Remembrance the book.
